Zurich, 6 June 2018 –The Swiss company Qnective, today announced its partnership with WISeKey International Holding Ltd (“WISeKey”, SIX: WIHN, OTCQX: WIKYY), a leading cybersecurity and IoT company. The aim of this partnership is to integrate its Qtalk technology for mobile encrypted voice and text, into WISeID and WISePhone expanding the WISeKey’s offering to enterprises that will benefit from secure telephony, instant messaging and SMS with sophisticated security mechanisms and advanced end-to-end encryption technologies. Integrating within the existing IT infrastructure seamlessly, Qtalk is fully compatible with BYOD strategies.
Qnective and Sasera: Secure business communications as cloud solution
The Swiss encryption experts of Qnective will collaborate with Sasera, a highly innovative Swiss Start-up from Zug, who will provide Qnective’s secure communications platform Qtalk Secure to corporate clients on a so-called SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) basis. Sasera is a privately held company comprised of Swiss information and data security experts, their cloud solution is easy to manage and can be implemented by remote access within 24 hours. Qnective and Sasera have a shared vision and passion for privacy.
Qnective: Partnership with Malaysian government
On Monday, 14 March, Swiss company Qnective received high-level Malaysian delegation at its head quarter in Zurich to initiate partnership for secure communication services especially for mobile phone users. Qnective has invented a sophisticated technology in the field of communication for military grade security systems, specifically for mobile communications. Malaysia is one of the ICT leading nation in Asia and committed to cybersecurity. The partnership with Qnective is targeted to provide no less than three million security licenses for mobile phone users in Malaysia by 2018.
Telefónica Ingeniería de Seguridad teams up with Swiss encryption specialist Qnective
Telefónica Ingeniería de Seguridad (http://ingenieriadeseguridad.telefonica.com), a subsidiary company of Telefónica, signed a partnership agreement for the regions of Spain and Latin America with the Swiss telecommunications company Qnective (https://qnective.com). Telefónica is one of the leading telecommunications providers globally. Its subsidiary Telefónica Ingeniería de Seguridad provides security integrated services. Qnective is specialized in secure communication solutions «made in Switzerland», providing a wide range of services from encryption products to consulting services for security, defense and telecommunication infrastructure projects. This teaming agreement lays the foundation for joint projects.
Discontinuation of myENIGMA
Qnective decided to remove its secure messenger app myENIGMA from the Android and Apple stores. The application does not support any of the latest OS and has not been updated recently. The service shall be completely discontinued by 1st of April 2016, giving users the chance to switch to another secure messaging app. After the 1st of April, all user metadata and encrypted data will be permanently deleted from our servers.
The reason for the discontinuation is a strategic business decision – Qnective will focus entirely on secure communication services for governments and companies in the future. myENIGMA started as a small side project, but after 450’000 downloads required more and more resources and developer time. We want to thank all of our users for their commitment and their feedback and encourage them to continue using an encrypted alternative to common messaging systems.
Qnective and Swisscom: Secure communications products for businesses
In the future, the Swiss encryption experts of Qnective will work together with the largest Swiss provider of telecommunications. In this partnership, Swisscom will offer the secure communications platform Qtalk Secure to their corporate clients. Together, further offers for large and small companies will be launched. With Qtalk Secure, regular Smartphones will be converted into tap-proof communications channels, using encryption from terminal to terminal. The platform secures sensitive information, which is transferred via telephone, SMS, chat or as files, against industrial espionage.
Qnective signs framework agreement with Government of Indonesia
On Friday, the 23rd of October, Qnective has been honoured by the visit of high-ranking ministers of the government of Indonesia, among them the Minister of Justice, the Admiral of the Coast Guards and the Chairman of the Regional Council. They signed an important frame agreement with Qnective, the Swiss Export Risk Insurance SERV and Directors of Credit Suisse in the value of 400 Mio. USD. The Agreement allows Qnective to design, build, transfer and operate (for the next 30 years) a coastal surveillance and communication infrastructure.
Qnective appoints Thomas Whayne as Chief Development Officer
Qnective announced today that Thomas F. Whayne, former Managing Director of Rothschild, will join the company as Chief Development Officer. Whayne is a leading M&A specialist based in the US with more then 23 years of experience providing strategic advice to many of the world’s largest technology, media and telecommunication companies. Before joining Rothschild in 2013, he was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, Bank of America and Credit Suisse. Qnective and NEC offer joint security solutions for governments
Qnective expands its distribution network by partnering with Singapore based NEC Asia Pacific as new system integrator for the products Qtalk Secure and Qtalk Defense. With the products of Qnective in its portfolio NEC extends its offering in the field of communication security with a Swiss security solution at the highest level.
The cooperation with NEC includes both the distribution of the products of Qnective by NEC and joint participation in tenders for large projects for governments and government-related organizations.

For those concerned with the SIM card hacking case reported these days in the media, Qnective offers the solution for secure mobile communication: Tailored to the needs of the public and private sector the Qtalk Security Suite encrypts calls, text messages, files and personal data with a double-layer protection technology that uses end-to-end encryption.
