Chris Gilbert Member of the Board of Directors
Chris Gilbert has had a broad set of general management experiences in both large multi-national corporations and smaller, venture-backed startups. He graduated from Bristol University with a degree in Physics and then from the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. He served as a regular officer for 8 years.
He worked as a European Operations Director for Data General, and 11 years in various positions in public safety and cellular in Motorola, latterly as Corporate Vice President, General Manager for the cellular infrastructure business in EMEA. He was CEO of Silicon Valley-based IPWireless for 4 years until 2006 and then took over as CEO of Ubiquisys in the UK, culminating in a sale to Cisco for $310m in 2013.
Currently, Chris hold various non-executive positions on technology private company boards and consults intermittently on wireless strategy for corporations.
